We did a 4 hour walk from 6PM (19kg pack), taking in The Battle of Stow war memorial; Donnington Brewery; Abbotswood to Lower Swell; Hyde Mill, and along the old railway line closed by Dr. Beaching, to Maugersbury, and home.

Chris Lesley of Fairport Vonvention fame, was playing in the church in Adderbury, where he lives and I once lived. So I joined two friends for a meal at The Horse & Groom, before going to the concert. Having been up since 4AM, I struggled somewhat to resist the urges of his melodious tones, to drift off!
