July14th Bastille Day & Stow Motor Show
An exhausting Day.
An early morning walk to Abbotswood with old schoolfriend Adrian and the dogs, before bolting down a cooked breakfast and shooting off to the Cricket Field to run the marshalling for the Stow Motor Show.
Cars trickled in at first with everything from a tiny vintage Ford tractor to an original Lamborghini Countach (it had to reverse out of the field later, as its clearance was so low!). Bought some water from the PTA stand, and circulated all the marshalls with cups of water, as it was a brilliantly sunny day. I had therefore left the dogs at home. I did bring them back to the field at 3.30PM and we checked the lower gate. By 5.30, most people had left, so I went home and showered before a party at Alison & Jay’s house. Watched a bit of the band then came home and crashed out; exhausted.
