It is forbidden in France, to call anything Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité.

So the Thouars cyber café, the only one that I have found in 5 weeks, misses out the “Fraternité”!

So I have been holed up in there all day, downloading big audio files that I have nade in a dauly basis over the lastk 5 weeks. These will gradually appear on www.mintytours.com/audio-diary under the date recorded. If you click on the same date on the calendar displayed on the right side of the page, you will pull up all other “posts” (the WordPress term for other events), for that day.

I am working my way backwards from today and will doon have tbe entire trip on Audio diar. I have done weekly audio and video recordings gor those who just want the edited highlights! I have not yet thought how to display these. Possibly under a seperate sub-heading of “weekly review”.

Unless I get holed up again, I may not get round to the Picture Diary for a while, as I need Wi-Fi to do it,and I frequently don’t have it. This is where Facebook scores.

I have collected a protective bootie from the vets for Topsy and with a sock underneath, she has successfully worn it all day. As they have not had their usual 5+ hours of exercise; they are now tearing around between the picnic tables at the campsite playing “tag”. I have produced a tennis ball and they are chasing each otber for it. Happy runs to get it, then Topsy, as top-dog, demands it from her and Happy drops it. I have decided to give Topdy another recovery day tomorrow, then we will set off again on Sunday. Hopefully on less black-top, which is what abraids her paws.

The street theatre last night was about the newly created Region of France of New Aqyitaine. A huge region stretching from here to the Pyranees, and the rhird largest in France. Si the lady in charge of the campsite told me, as I bumped into her after the oerformance. I did spot sonne et lumiere pictures of backpackers and Sa tiago del Composyelle was mentioned, so I felt as one of the pilgrims, I was a part if the story. Lots of bridges including the long skinny one near Bordeaux (Ile de Re?). Sat down after an hour on the pavement by Happy and dozed off, as I tend to do at all concerts!

I may have to continue my evaluation of the relative merits of buying 1.5l of rosé at 2€ or 4€! So far, the 2€ at 11% is the favourate of the two, on the basis that I haven’t had a hangover. Vith excellent for cleaning pans. Points for multi-functionality when backpacking!
