Passed the Cap du Nore at over 1000m. Now on top of the SW ridge of the Massif Central and wind picking up. A series of windfarms be-deck the ridges and you can see why! I dodn’t quite put my tent up facing into the wind and it flapped all night. Down duvet jacket at night (and in bed) weather.

Good sandy soil again for Topsy and wide forest paths. A lack if water, but found that the “sources” (or springs) marked on the map near refuges really essential, although one had dried up. Am carrting 4.5l of water because of this.

A large amount of logging going on, with huge piles of logs periodicly.
