Happy was licking her paws last might, so I wondered if the pafs on her paws were being affected like Topsy’s. So decided to get extra stocks of the acid toughening solution in Airvault, the next big town. This turned out to be a real slog to the outskirts, but we did get 2 bottles of the stuff. More weight!
As the Vets was beside a mega-store, I went in and shopped and we did our usual orgy of eating on the pavement outside: dogfood and milk for the girls, milk and chicken butties for me.

We had rain all morning, so stopped and put dogs in fool westher gear. Kept cross-crossing little Roman bridges. The GR36 here seems to be determined in heading south, so we were cutting across country in more of a straught kine and not zig-zagging along the bank.

Thoughtg we had all had enough for one day, so have campef in a campaite to rhe south of Airvaulr. Topsy managed to loose a bootie today. I went back 1k but did not see it. Suspect that her foot got caught in the gap between planks on one of the bridges, and is now floating down the river! It probably caused her a huge panic at the time, as the inner sock had gone too.j
