Arrived at 8.03 in France, as the car rolled off the ferry into St. Malo. Minty Tours 2018 across France has started!

Stopped off on a poo-covered piece of grass to re-pack (the French do NOT “pick up”!). Suspect that I am back to a 20kg pack.

Rang a hotel Brian had suggested for parking: they said that they would ring back and didn’t, so went to the Paul Gérard park & ride that Bill had found. 3.30 euro a day. Fellow passenger’s pleaded with the driver to allow my 2 Guide Dogs on to Shuttle bus!

At tourist information found there was no local camping shop to replace my yellow foam insulation that I had left behind.  So bought a bacon butty and 2 baguettes and after a quick paddle in the Atlantic, headed at 2.30PM for The Med!

Tedious concrete promenade to get out of St. Malo. Stopped at 6.30PM at the far Eastern end of the beach at Rotheneuth and after a baguette sinner put up the tent. Had to re-set the password for the mobile version of this website, as I couldn’get in to write up my diary.  Early start tomorrow.v
